California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the Department of Finance, Real Estate, and Law. Cal Poly Pomona is one of three polytechnic universities in the 23-campus California State University system and among 12 such institutions nationwide. Student Population. Cal Poly Pomona is the number one polytechnic university in the nation for student diversity and economic mobility. College of Business Administration: The College of Business Administration at Cal Poly Pomona is built on the inclusive polytechnic model with a central focus on learning by doing. Our Equity in Business Initiative provides a platform where students are mentored by business professionals, develop inclusive leadership skills and learn the importance of valuing diversity in work environments. The College is a regional leader in graduate education through the Singelyn Graduate School of Business which offers MBA and specialist Masters degrees in business analytics, digital supply chain management, information security, digital marketing and accounting. We offer six comprehensive undergraduate programs and its graduates are in high demand with industry partners such as Avanade, Amazon, Deloitte, The Federal Reserve, NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab and so many more. The college is accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The College has seven centers: Consultative Selling, Customer Insights and Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Mitchell C. Department of Finance, Real Estate, and Law: The Finance, Real Estate and Law (FRL) Department offers a B.S. degree in Finance, Real Estate and Law, serving approximately 1,000 diverse students in the major. The success of our program results from our student-centered, inclusive environment and solid curriculum that integrates hands-on experiential learning experiences, such as financial analysis and trading experience through the use of our interactive Bloomberg terminals and the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) program. Our faculty work closely with students through four award-winning student organizations: the Finance Society; the Real Estate Association; The Society of Law, Contracts, and Property; and the Student Managed Investment Club (SMIC).
The FRL Department provides a supportive environment for new faculty members to grow as teacher-scholars, with funding opportunities for classroom modernization and instructional innovation, as well as excellent research support through access to Bloomberg terminals, WRDS subscription including COMPUSTAT and CRSP Databases, and regular funding for conference travel. Position description: The new faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in corporate finance and investments. The successful candidate must also have a strong commitment to research and scholarly activities, and service to the Department, College, University and Community. Applicants whose work incorporates a global perspective and a commitment to diversity in higher education are particularly encouraged to apply.
Minimum requirements include:
- Candidates must have a Ph.D. or DBA degree in Finance or a related field at the time of appointment.

Finalists for the position will:
- be required to provide official transcripts for highest degree before the on-campus interview; and
- be expected to make scholarly and teaching presentations.

Salary Range for Academic Year, Nine-Month Appointment: $134,000 - $138,600.
