THE ROLEAs Ortho continues to grow, we are seeking a Contract Manager to join our team within the Offer Development group. This role will be based in Rochester, NY and is responsible for the development, implementation and management of direct commercial customer contracts in a way that ensures customer satisfaction, compliance to company policy and profitability. This position requires a highly motivated individual who is meticulously detail-oriented and customer-focused with the ability to manage competing priorities in a results-driven environment.
THE RESPONSIBILITIESWorking collaboratively with the US Sales Organization, the Contract Manager will provide quotes and develop agreements, revising as needed throughout the negotiation process. Amend and restructure existing agreements when required. Track the status of new offers to measure win rates and cycle times.
Ensure that all contracts are structured in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Prepare and present any exception requests, including price concessions and non-standard terms and conditions, to a committee of cross-functional internal stakeholders for review. When necessary, include the financials of the deal using manually generated Gross Profit Models. Document all exceptions and approvals.
Cultivate a strategic partnership with the Sales Organization, providing guidance on contracting options such as available acquisition methods and effective programs/promotions. Define expectations and align on reasonable turn around times for deliverables. Respond to ad-hoc queries as needed.
Implement agreements in Ortho's contracting system after completing a comprehensive contract review and validation; accept and fully execute contracts on behalf of Ortho via Contract Manager signature. Coordinate administrative logistics with necessary parties when required (customer training, distribution, service coverage, etc.).
Monitor agreements throughout the contract life cycle with respect to compliance to contractual performance requirements, price increases, product launches, equipment removals/relocations, expirations, contract terminations etc.
Work in collaboration with the US Sales Organization to remedy non-compliant contracts. In the event a Customer terminates a contract, work in conjunction with US Sales Organization and internal stakeholders to identify outstanding contractual commitments and take corrective actions if necessary.
As needed, complete additional tasks, including but not limited to: supporting all internal and external audits, training new Contract Managers and Sales Associates and participating in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Required:
Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree required or equivalent experience; Advanced degree (Masters or MBA) preferred
Background: Minimum 3 years business experience required, Experience in a tightly regulated industry preferred.
Business Acumen: Demonstrated leadership to define and to accomplish common goals, strong project management and high attention to detail to meet timelines and milestones.
Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to achieve objectives in challenging and complex situations throughout multiple levels within the organization. An aptitude for learning, a willingness to adapt quickly and an enthusiasm to continually improve are vital.
Travel: Domestic travel is required approximately 2-4 times per year.
Proficiency in Excel required; Assessments maybe used in the interview process.
Work with customers, vendors, and team.

SALARY TRANSPARENCY
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $53,000 to $96,000. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
